Hi-Res

Hi-Res, Sixpoint Brewery, Brooklyn, NY
(Imperial/Double IPA, Rated 97)
This beer goes up to eleven. That's the commercial description of this fantastic imperial/double IPA. 111 IBU, that's International Bitterness Units. The higher the IBU, the more bitter the beer. 11 SRM? That's the Standard Reference Method, or color. How about 11.1% abv. That number means this beautiful twelve ouncer packs a punch. Hi-Res pours a nice orange-amber color with an off-white head. Big hop aromas of pine, resin, sweet citrus, and grass. Huge hop flavors with pine, bitter orange peel, resin, little bit of sweet citrus, and a nice long lingering, bitter finish. A truly amazing double IPA! Sixpoint is an outstanding brewery. I love them because they don't seem to follow any traditional rules, their beer is fantastic, and it only comes in cans, which have great artwork.  Cheers!
