Pours a turbid orange with a nice, frothy, white head. Aromas of mango, fruity citrus, and lemongrass. Tastes of fresh oranges, grapefruit zest, mangos, hints of pineapple, with an earthiness. Medium mouthfeel and a finish on the drier side. Super drinkable! 5.4% abv is nice!

Turbid yellow-orange pour. Aroma is fruity with sweet oranges, subtle pine, and a little bready. Tastes of fresh ripe oranges, citrus zest, and a bit pithy. Creamy, light mouthfeel. Dry with a slightly bitter finish. Crush-ably delicious at 5.4% abv.

Hazy orange pour with a thick, white head. Juicy aromas of oranges, mangos, and papayas. Tastes of grapefruit, tropicals, and citrus zest. Touch of muted pine. Dry, earthy, bitter, finish. Easy drinker at 5.6% abv.

Curiosity Twenty-six is another juice bomb brewed primarily with El Dorado with a little Citra hops. Pours the typical cloudy orange with good amounts of head. Amazing aromas of orange zest and citrus pulp. Taste is all citrus, all the time, with orange the prominent flavor. Nice sweet malt backbone and a grassy, herbal bitterness. Finish is crisp, a bit dry, with mild hop bitterness.

Chilly Water Pale Ale

Chilly Water Pale Ale, Tighthead Brewing Company, Mundelein, IL

This wheat-based pale ale pours a clear, golden-yellow with a nice thick, white head. Smells of citrus, orange zest, and a faint grassiness. Taste is fruity, light grapefruit, earthy pine, with a slight dank finish. No bitterness. Clean and crisp. At 4.8% abv, this is one delicious Session IPA!

Would you look at this beer! Curiosity Twenty-four is brewed with Columbus and Citra hops. Pours a cloudy, orange with a nice, white head. Aromas of herbs, orange peel, lemon zest, tangy papaya, with a grassiness. Aroma is a great prelude to the taste. Flavorful citrus, orange sweetness, mild grapefruit pulp, herbs, and a mild lemony bitterness at the finish. Light mouthfeel with a dry finish. At 5.4%, one of the more poundable offerings. Thank you Tree House for another great beer!

Golden orange pour with a thick, foamy, white head. Leaves great lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild with earthy, grassy hops, herbs, and orange peels. Taste is a blend of Mosaic and Citra giving it flavors of mango, orange, citrus,  Crisp, dry finish. Crushable at 5.2%. Very nice!

A Tiny Beautiful Something

A Tiny Beautiful Something, Maine Beer Company, Freeport, ME

Pours a hazy, golden, yellow with a thick, frothy, white head. Aroma is biscuity, grassy with floral notes. Brewed with El Dorado hops. Taste is  strong citrus, orange zest, malty oats, with an earthy sweetness. Light with a dry, clean finish.

Nice little treat from the East Coast, this ale pours a hazy, golden, yellow, with a nice, thick, white head. Aroma is loaded with sweet, tropical fruit. Mango, papaya, citrus, and floral notes. Taste is light on the malt with tons of juicy citrus. Soft, light, and fluffy mouthfeel. Smooth, dry finish with a hint of orange zest. A daily drinker at only 5.6% abv. This is one fantastic beer!  Cheers!

Clear, golden, amber pour with a nice, frothy white head. Pleasant aromas of citrus, mango sweetness, pine, and a grassiness. Tastes of citrus hops, mango, and passionfruit. Has an earthy quality with a slight malt sweetness. Light with a nice dry finish. Another fantastic offering from this brewery.

Citra-Tasm

Part of ZumBier's Hop-Tasm Series highlighting specific hops. It's citra this time. Pours and amber, copper color with a thick, head. Aroma has an abundance of citra, as expected. There's a juicy, fruity, tropicalness to it. Taste is so juicy. Lots of tropical, floral, and citrus. Has a caramel chewiness and a mild malt backbone. Solid pale ale with lots of hops.

Peeper Ale

Another fine brew from Maine Beer. I've been really impressed with everything I've had from them. This beauty pours a light, sunny, clear, yellow with a nice, white head. Reminding me of the Spring weather we are having. The hop aroma is inviting and subtle. Notes of malt and grass. Taste is grainy, citrus, lemony, and a little peppery. Very clean and refreshing!

Daisy Cutter Pale Ale

Among the list of outstanding pale ales out there, Daisy Cutter is among them. A West Coast pale ale from the Midwest. Golden, honey pour with a nice, thick, white head that settles into fine lacing. Aromas of fresh citrus, sticky pine resin, with an earthiness. Taste is straight up juicy. Just a touch of bitterness up front but quickly flows into nice, crisp, floral and citrus hop finish. At 5.2% abv, you can have more than one of these.

Cedar Plank Pale Ale

This hoppy pale ale pours a hazy, orange with a light, foamy, white head. Pungent aromas of malt, cedar chips, and piney hop resin. Taste is sweet, fruity hops, orange citrus, wooody from the cedar, and a good bitter finish. The cedar adds a nice spicy, peppery hint.

Red Chair NWPA

Another fantastic american pale ale from Deschutes. This one pours a copper color with a white head. Aroma is faint citrus, sweet caramel, and mild earthiness. Taste is fresh, malty up front. Citrus peels and toasted malt grains. Smooth and well balanced. Nice little 6.2% abv bite.

Copper pour with a thin, quickly dissipating white head. Aromas of citrus hops and sweet malt. Good biscuity, toasty malt backbone leaves way to an abundance of fresh, resiny, citrus hops.  Smooth on the palate. The bitterness lingers. Very tasty and drinkable!

Ride Again

Lucette rides again with this fantastic pale ale. Clear, golden-yellow pour with a nice, frothy, white head. Inviting aromas of citrus hops, sweet malt, and grass.  Taste is smooth malt up front, followed by nice piney, citrus hops. Really solid pale ale.

Here's another fantastic pale ale. Pours a clear golden color with a nice, white head. Aroma is sticky resin, citrus, and big mango notes. Tastes of peach, mango, herbal, pale malt, and citrus hops. Sweet and moderately bitter. Incredible blend of fruit and hops. Amazing APA. 5.8% abv.

Space Station Middle Finger

Hazy orange pour with a medium, frothy white head. Amazing zesty aromas of orange, mango, citrus, and tropical fruits. The aromas come through in the taste. Tangy citrus, grapefruit, orange, and sticky resin. Great mix of sweetness and bitter. Chewy and juicy. 6% abv. Three Floyds knows how to make fantastic pale ales!

Zombie Dust

The first time I had Zombie Dust, it was when one of the brewers from Three Floyds came to one of my favorite Milwaukee bars, Sugar Maple, for a tasting. This is my first time having this beauty from the bottle. A hazy, golden, orange pour with an aroma that is all hops. Spicy citrus and pine though the nose. Taste is very hop forward. Grapefruit, orange peel, resin with a subtly-sweet, malt finish. Smooth mouthfeel and fantastically well balanced. One of the best American Pale Ale's I have had and from one of my favorite breweries!
