Tail Waggin' Double White Ale 2010 Cellar Reserve

Tail Waggin' Double White Ale 2010 Cellar Reserve, Grand Teton Brewing Company, Victor, ID
(Belgian White (Witbier))
This one was hiding in the shadows and I nearly forgot it was there. Tonight was a perfect night to share it. Pours a golden, yellow. Unfiltered with lots of sediment that lends to the great taste. Aromas of lemon and orange citrus, bread, and spices. Classic Belgian witbier. Complex flavors of spices, pepper, orange, lemon zest, sweet malts. I detected a hint of bitterness as well. Better than I remembered it was.  Cheers!

White Rascal

White Rascal, Avery Brewing Company, Boulder, CO
(Belgian Wit)
Staying with the string of beers from Avery Brewing Company, this witbier pours a hazy, golden yellow with a thin white head and faint lacing. Typical Belgian wit aromas of Belgian spices, bread, and citrus. Taste is light, sweet bread, with lingering orange zest. Not a lot of carbonation. A smooth drinker.

Woody Creek White

Woody Creek White, Flying Dog Brewery, Frederick, MD
(Belgian White (Witbier))
Pale gold pour with a thin head. Nose of yeast, lemon, and spice which come through in the taste. Little banana in there too. Light mouth-feel. Earthy. A great Summer drinker.

O-Gii Imperial Wit

O-Gii Imperial Wit, Milwaukee Brewing Company, Milwaukee, WI
A collaboration between Milwaukee Brewing Company and Milwaukee's own Rishi Tea, this beer infuses oriental tea into wheat beer, and it's a big beer too at 9.2% abv.  9.2% and in a can?? That's what I'm talking about. O-Gii is definitely one of my favorites from this brewery. Pours a cloudy orange with a nice white, foamy head. Aroma has the citrus you would find in a wheat beer along with a light, grassy note. Taste has some lemon, tropical fruits, ginger, and some spices on the finish. Bold flavor. Light finish. Hides the alcohol well. Delicious!!
